How We Solve Problems
Luxury High-Rise Hotels & Condos
The Challenge: A contractor needed to core drill 50+ holes for new plumbing risers in a post-tensioned luxury hotel deck in Downtown San Diego. Hitting a cable would compromise structural integrity and endanger the crew.
The Solution: Using the Proceq GP8000, we mapped the cable drapes and rebar grid. We marked clear “safe zones” directly on the concrete.
The Result: 50 cores drilled. Zero strikes. Schedule maintained.
The Unmapped School Utility Trench
The Challenge: A school district in Riverside was trenching for a new fiber line. Old as-builts showed clear ground, but the site superintendent suspected undocumented water lines.
The Solution: Our team performed a Private Utility Locate using electromagnetic tools and the ImpulseRadar PinPointR GPR. We discovered and marked two active water lines and an abandoned gas line crossing the trench path.
The Result: The excavation route was adjusted, preventing a line strike that would have shut down campus water.
